LOC PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS, INC. AND APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
JOINS TO PROVIDE COMPLETE PRODUCT DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING SERVICES AND SUPPORT
January 11, 2009 ---
Loc Performance Products, Inc. (Loc) and Applied Technologies, Inc. (ATI) has agreed to form a partnership
for the purpose of combining each company’s collective capabilities of providing complete power transmission
and suspension solutions to its customers. Combined, the companies offer the full spectrum of life cycle
management support of products they develop, produce, and sustain.
Loc and ATI recently collaborated to provide engineering and support services to quickly resolved field
failures for a mutual customer. Upon success, the companies identified the value that a partnership offered
for their collective customer base.
According to Loc Performance founder and CEO Victor Vojcek, “ATI has a solid foundation for design and
development of the products we manufacture for our defense and industrial customer base. The partnership
with ATI compliments Loc Performances rapidly growing engineering capabilities and offers our customers the
full spectrum of services for the products we produce.” Loc Performance President Lou Burr adds, “This
partnership allows both companies to vertically expand product offerings, and marks a critical milestone
towards our corporate mission of job creation in southeast Michigan.”
“Having worked with many manufacturers of chassis and drivetrain systems, we feel that Loc is among the best.
Their manufacturing capability, coupled with their great prototyping and testing facilities, will enable our
new partnership to provide full engineering product support to our mutual customers”, commented Craig Winn,
CEO of ATI.
For more than 25 years, Loc Performance Products has manufactured precision components and assemblies for
U.S. Army Ground Vehicle drive and suspension systems including final drives and suspension road arm assemblies
for all of the Army’s fleet of tracked vehicles. Loc also manufacturers engine, transmission, and chassis
components as well as geared hubs for a variety of tracked and wheeled vehicles.
Applied Technologies design and engineer drivetrain and suspension systems for defense and automotive vehicle
applications. They have developed many systems from concept to the completion of full technical data packages.
Major systems developed by ATI include suspension systems, semi-active suspension systems, transmissions,
power take off units, gearboxes, geared hubs, transfer cases, and axles.
